I was a part of the Sangam Executive Team in the year 2012-2013. We organized Diwali Night, the biggest cultural event of the year! I was in charge of the Activities, and wanted to create something new instead of simply having mehndi and stalls from other organizations, as in many previous years. With a very small budget of 400$ (and with the help of a couple of friends and volunteers), we managed to pull off Card making and Diya decoration (from recycled CDs) that is now becoming a trend in future Diwali events!
